Wedding Wednesday (Dress Hanger DIY)

Last year I had two girlfriends get married back-to-back weekends and as party of their shower/bachelorette party gifts I decorated dress hangers for them.  It was a pretty simple process, I bought nice wood hangers (like these), choose ribbon to fit the wedding color and vibe and I wrapped away.  I used hot glue to hold everything in place.  Last, I enlisted a friend, who is a much more talented than I in the calligraphy department, to help out with the name and date.  I was so happy with the results and I think the brides were too.

Feeling Hot follow-up

A while ago I posted about a dress I was planning on making, here.  Marry that to this pin from my "Style Envy" board for some added sparkle, and here's what I came up with.  It's been a long time coming, but so glad that I finally got a chance to wear it.

Instagram Recap (Vegas Bachelorette Party!)

I'm survived the bachelorette party and what turned out to be the craziest week ever.  Vegas was amazing!  We stayed at the Cosmopolitan (beautiful), we were showered with Champagne (Thank you!!), we took in some much needed sun and got silly doing a LONG list of bachelorette party dares.  Below are some highlights caught on Instagram.

On another note, I've was MIA last week because my best friend, and planner of the bachelorette party extravaganza, lost her father to brain cancer.  I took a few days to travel back to Michigan to be there for her.  Most of you reading did not know Jerry, but like many others who have also suffered from the disease, he was an amazing father, devoted husband and a teacher who was passionate about his job.  It's such a hard thing to think about but this disease could just as easily affect your mother or my father,  the family set up a fund to  raise money through Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure.  The money raised from the site will benefit cutting-edge brain cancer research.  Click here if you would like to contribute. Bachelorette party weekend in Vegas!!!  False eyelashes applied, pedicure still wet, I am ready to jet!  Thank you to my wonderful girlfriends and fabulous bridesmaids, my maid of honor in particular for putting this weekend together.  I love you very much and I can't wait until we get to celebrate together. It's going to be a fun, surprise-filled weekend, I know nothing except for the destination!  Can't wait to see what's in store.
